How much does mobile axe throwing cost?
$1,200 includes setup/breakdown and 2 hours of throw time. Each additional hour is $400. For locations more than 20 miles from 90066, travel fees may apply.
How many lanes does the mobile setup include?
Two lanes.
Is a coach included?
Yes—every booking includes a dedicated coach to run safety, instruction, and event flow.
Are you insured?
Yes—Hatchet Hound is fully insured for off-site events.
Can it be set up on a street or in a parking lot?
Yes—street parking (where permitted) or parking lots both work well.
Do we need experience?
No—first-timers are the norm. Your coach teaches everyone.
How long is a typical event?
Most teams choose 1–2 hours. Longer options are available for larger groups.
Can we do food and drinks?
Yes—CoLab has a brewery, winery, and distillery on-site, plus catering options.
How many people can you host?
The beer garden is great for ~60. For larger events, the interior space can hold 200+.
Is parking easy?
Yes—there’s a free parking lot for guests.
Do we need experience?
No—most groups are first-timers. Your coach teaches everyone.
How long is a typical team building event?
Most teams choose 1–2 hours. Longer options are available for larger groups.
Can not everyone participate?
Yes—spectators can still enjoy the venue and cheer on their team.
Can we do food and drinks?
Yes—Brewport has a full bar, 60+ self-serve beer & wine options, and catering available.
How many people can you host?
Outdoors is great for ~50. For bigger events, the indoor space can accommodate up to 300.
How many people can you host at this location?
The outdoor area is great for up to about 50 guests. For larger company events, the indoor space can accommodate up to 300.
Is the axe throwing area private?
Yes—your group’s axe throwing area is private, and every booking includes a dedicated coach.
Do we need experience?
No—your coach teaches everyone and runs a format designed for beginners and mixed skill levels.
Can we do food and drinks?
Yes—Brewport has a full bar, a 60+ self-serve beer and wine tapwall, and catering options.
Where do guests park?
There’s free street parking and a free lot about a block and a half away.
How many people can you host at this location?

Do we get a private area?
The axe throwing area is always reserved just for your group. Buyouts of the whole outside can also be arranged with Colab.
Is this good for teams with mixed skill levels?
Yes—our formats are built for beginners and mixed groups, and the coach keeps it inclusive.
How long are corporate events?
Most run 2 -3 hours. Longer options are available for larger groups or full event flows.
Can we accommodate large groups?
Yes—capacity depends on venue, date, and format. Use the quote form for 17+ guests.
Can we do food and drink packages?
Yes—because events are hosted inside partner bars/breweries, we can coordinate timing and options with the venue.
Can we customize the format (speeches, awards, etc.)?
Yes—tell us what you want to include and we’ll build it into the flow.
Do you offer private areas or buyouts?
Depending on venue and date, private areas or buyouts may be available—ask in your request.
Do we need experience?
No—most groups are first-timers. Your coach teaches everyone and keeps it fun.

Can you host large groups?
Yes—capacity depends on the venue, date, and format. Use the quote form for 17+ guests.
Is it still fun if not everyone participates?
Yes—spectators can still enjoy the venue and cheer on their team.
Can we do food and drinks?
Yes—events are hosted inside partner bars/breweries, so food and drinks are part of the experience. Depending on location food includes in-house kitchens, food trucks and catering.
Is axe throwing safe?
Absolutely! Each reservation comes with a private coach who will not only teach you how to throw but makes sure everyone does so safely.
Can I reschedule my reservation?
Yes. You can reschedule up to 3 times with 24 hours notice. Same day rescheduling my incur a $50 fee.
How old do have to be for axe throwing?
You must be at least 12 years old to throw. Minors must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Under 21's are allowed at our Arts District location until 7pm.
Is there food and drinks?
Yes. Our Downtown Los Angeles and El Segundo locations both have full bars and menus. Our Vista location features a brewery, winery and distillery. They also feature food trucks (contact for schedule) and allow you to bring your own food. PLEASE NOTE: You can not bring outside food or drink to our LA locations. You can not bring outside drinks to our Vista location.
Is there parking?
El Segundo has lots of street parking and a small parking lot for the restaurant. There are also two lots within easy walking distance.
Downtown has minimal street parking but plenty of paid lots within walking distance, including a small one attached to the bar.
Vista has a free parking lot.
Do you offer catering?
Yes. All locations offer catering. Please contact us for details.
How many hours should I book?
Generally for 10 people and under we say 1 hour is enough. When you start to get more people we recommend 2 hours, but it really depends on the type of event you are holding. If you are unsure just reach out to us and we can help you figure it out!
Do I need to make a reservation?
Yes. We do have walk-ins sometimes at our Downtown location on Fridays and Saturdays, but to guarantee yourself a spot we always recommend a reservation. You can book right on our website as long as it's 12 hours in advance. For reservations within 12 hours, just give us a call.
What is your cancellation policy?
Any cancellation with 7 days notice will receive a full refund.
Any cancellation made within 24 hours of when it was booked will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 7 days of booking will be charged the full minimum hour rate for hours booked ($135 - $285 an hour), You will not be charged for any tip added, or for extra guests. You may also reschedule the reservation up to 3 times at no extra cost.
No-Shows will be charged the full amount of the reservation as booked.
What happens if it rains?
If it rains and we are unable to do the reservation we can either reschedule you or give you a full refund.
